"ONLY AS TIME PROGRESSES"
Sitting in class, against the wall.
Tumbling in my mind.
This kid sitting beside me while I'm trying to bide my time.
Who would have thought as true time passes this kid and his funny glasses.
Would be the one I truly love as this time passes.
That I'd go from falling flat on my face to falling in his loving embrace.
For I'm just a little girl, sitting in class, watching as the time progresses.
Oh my love how it would bloom and wicker into beauty.
He is soft and kind and takes his time as he wonders through his notes.
To make you mine in future time, that's only when we touch.
He gave me hints of kindness and friendship, but words we would never touch.
But only as time progresses would our love would bloom with grace.
To sit and study in this dreary place, time is clicking, you hear the beat, only as time passes.
If only I knew what lie in wait we would be together in arms embrace.
But only as time progresses.
